Kill Cupid is a Seattle-based rock trio of transplants from Illinois, Pennsylvania
and Texas. Band members Derrick Ruthless and Gator joined forces in February of
2006, branded themselves 'Kill Cupid' (a reference to being tired of love-struck
emo lyrics) and played their first show at El Corazon in mid-May. Soon thereafter
they were playing local staples such as The Central, The Funhouse, and the High
Dive. After recording and releasing an introductory 4-track EP, the band took time
to write and record their first full length LP titled 'OK, I'm Dying...' at Egg
Studios with legendary engineer/producer Conrad Uno. This self-released album deals
with a variety of frustrations including "scene" kids, annoying know-it-alls, and
modern religion. Kill Cupid has a video for their first single 'Imposter' and radio
play on 99.9 KISW. In 2009, bassist Samantha Wilder joined.
